The Memories of Us Walking Together
Poem By Levi Sap Nei Thang
In the shadowed depths of memory’s embrace,
Where whispers of our moments interlace,
I wander the streets we once strolled together,
Amidst the haunting footprints of yore I gather.
Do you miss me as the sunlight cascades,
On the path we trod, in harmonious serenades?
When the air whispers secrets of our love,
Do you feel the absence, the void thereof?
Amidst the laughter and bustling streets,
Do you long for my presence, our hearts’ beats?
The places we’d pause, the moments we’d share,
Now, echoes of silence, an unanswered prayer.
Did the gentle breeze notice, as you sat alone,
Amidst the chatter, feeling the absence, unknown?
Did the passerby inquire, with curious eyes,
Why your laughter dwindled, veiled by sighs?
If ever you yearn for my ethereal embrace,
Through the mists of time, seek my grace,
For though we are apart, our souls intertwined,
In the vast symphony of love, we’re forever entwined.
And in those moments of longing and despair,
Know that I am there, your solace to bear,
In the whispers of the wind, a gentle touch,
A reminder of our love, enduring much.
So, my love, when the world feels cold,
Through the timeless tapestry of love, we’re enfolded,
For in the realms of remembrance, forever true,
I’ll be there with you, waiting forever anew.
