Reflecting on the Reasons We Parted Ways Prematurely
Poem by Levi Sap Nei Thang
In the realm of love, we ventured bright,
But played tricks, our paths just contrite.
We parted ways so prematurely, so,
Our hearts entangled, yet miles apart we go.
Could we have bridged the chasm wide,
Met face to face, where love could reside?
Oh, what made you hurt so deeply within,
Would that I may amend it, your forgiveness win.
But alas, you turned away, denied my plea,
A wall erected, no chance to set us free.
Yet still, in these verses, I lay bare my soul,
Hoping they’ll reach you and make you whole.
For love’s cruel twists may oft tear and rend,
Yet in our hearts, healing can transcend.
So let these words, like whispers in the breeze,
Rekindle hope, and bring you lasting ease.
