Finding Solace in Fear and Anxiety
In the depths of night, afraid of the dark.
Fear-wrapped and stark tremble at shadows
Sleep eludes me, night after night,
Yet, in the realm of dreams, I take flight.
Alone, I fear; solace feels so far,
Yet, within crowds, I yearn to retreat to Mar.
To hide from madness, from pain, and abuse,
Seeking refuge, longing for a truce.
No extraordinary feats mark my days,
No walking on water or calming storms in my way.
Just an ordinary soul, fragile and small,
Whispering a plea, embracing a call for help.
Oh, Jesus, I beseech you to draw near,
To lend me strength, to quell my fear.
Rescue me from this tempest, this endless plight,
Wrap me in your love, in your guiding light.
