Brokenness
Poem by Levi Sap Nei Thang
In the depths of brokenness, a soul in despair,
Torn asunder by the weight of pain unfair,
No solace found in a world so callous and cold,
Left wandering through ruins, a story yet untold.
A heart once whole, now shattered like glass,
Each piece a fragment of a tragic past,
The ache, the emptiness, a constant companion,
Oh, how to mend a spirit so broken, so undone?
But amidst the wreckage, a flicker of light,
A whisper of hope harmonizing with the night,
For even when shattered, a soul can still mend,
With love as the elixir, the wounds shall transcend.
So let us gather the fragments, piece by piece,
With tender hands, release the pain, find release,
No longer defined by the scars that remain,
With resilience and grace, rebuild what was torn and slain.
For within the brokenness, strength will arise,
From the ashes, a phoenix shall claim the skies,
Though darkness persists, the spirit shall soar,
For even in brokenness, one can be whole once more.
