The Unyielding Spirit of Defiance
Poem by Levi Sap Nei Thang
In the shadows of oppression, a spirit unyielding,
I stood defiant, my heart wildly beating.
They deemed me unworthy, tried to extinguish my flame,
But I refused to submit, refused to play their game.
With every breath I took, rebellion in my gaze,
A force unleashed, refusing to be confined by their maze.
No shackles could bind me, no chains could hold me,
For in my resolve, strength, and courage untold.
They played the role of police, claiming control,
They played the role of a judge, pronouncing their toll.
But I, untamed and fierce, broke free from their grasp,
A symphony of defiance, an unstoppable clasp.
In the face of adversity, my spirit soared,
A beacon of resilience, a warrior adored.
Boundaries shattered as I left them all in awe,
For I refused to obey, renouncing their flawed law.
