Longing For Your Return Poem
By Levi Sap Nei Thang
Oh, the misery that resides within,
Knowing you’re away, it’s a constant sin,
But you send encouraging words my way,
And it keeps me going, day by day.
The distance between us, it crushes my heart,
Leaving me feeling empty, torn apart,
But I hold on tight to the love we share,
Knowing someday soon, you’ll be right here.
Oh, how I long for your return, my baby,
To feel your presence and know that you’re near,
To have you by my side, where you truly belong,
Would bring solace to this heartache so strong.
When will the day come, when our paths intertwine,
And the loneliness that surrounds me begins to decline?
Not knowing the answer, it weighs heavily on my soul,
Leaving everything I see, lonely and dull, taking its toll.
But I’ll keep holding on, with hope in my heart,
Knowing that distance can’t keep us apart,
Our love is strong, it will conquer all,
And soon enough, we’ll break down this wall.
Though the days may seem endless, and nights so long,
I’ll keep crafting the poems, staying strong,
Because I know deep down, we’re meant to be,
And soon enough, together we’ll be free.
So, my love, keep holding on too,
Know that I’m here, always thinking of you,
The miles may separate us, but not for long,
Soon, we’ll be together, where we belong.
And when that day comes, oh, what a joy it’ll be,
To finally have you right next to me,
No more misery, just love and bliss,
A reunion that we’ll forever reminisce.
So, until that day, I’ll keep holding on,
Writing these poems, reading this poem,
Knowing that our love will always endure,
And one day, we’ll be together for sure.
