Letting Go of Love for a Better Tomorrow
Poem by Levi Sap Nei Thang
In the labyrinth of love’s embrace, I found my heart entwined,
A dance of fire and desire, a love so unconfined.
But time, that stealthy thief, whispered secrets untold,
And in the depths of my being, a truth began to unfold.
With every tender touch, a tremor in my soul,
A reassurance, a promise, forever to be whole.
But as the seasons changed, so did our perfect rhyme,
And I knew within my spirit it was time to say goodbye.
For love, my dearest friend is not a constant flow,
It ebbs, and it wanes, like tides that ebb and go.
And though the pain was deep, a bittersweet release,
I had to let you go to find my inner peace.
A better tomorrow awaits beyond this sorrowed land,
Where hearts are free to soar, like birds on shifting sand.
I’ll cherish our memories, the laughter, and the tears,
But I had to leave to conquer all my fears.
So let me go, like a shooting star in flight,
For in the letting go, we’ll find our guiding light.
And if destiny decides that our paths may cross once more,
We’ll know it was not in vain, the love we had before.
For sometimes love demands the hardest choices to be made,
To release the bonds that bind, to let the heart be swayed.
And so I chose to leave to seek a brighter dawn,
A love that’s meant to be, where souls forever belong.
Let go, let go, and find your sacred grace,
For in the ending, there’s a beginning you must face.
Embrace the unknown, the whispers of the breeze,
For letting go of love leads to the soul’s release.
So farewell, farewell, with gratitude and pain,
In the tapestry of life, our thread shall remain.
But I had to leave, my love, to find my true way,
And in my heart’s departure, a better tomorrow will stay.
