How Chest-Pounding Eases Emotional Pain
Poem by Levi Sap Nei Thang
In the depths of anguish, I surrender to the beating drum,
A symphony of sorrow, each pound a whispered hum.
For you, dear foe, have spread your seeds of deceit,
Yet my heart remains untouched, for love shall not retreat.
Oh, sweet catharsis, in my chest I find solace,
A balm for wounds inflicted, as love’s antidote enlaces.
No bitterness resides within this tender vessel,
Only forgiveness blooms in a garden of eternal wrestle.
So let the rhythm resound as I strike with grace,
Turning pain into art with each gentle embrace.
For in these tormented pounds, a healing melody weaves,
Transcending the lies in a cadence that relieves.
And now, dear heart, that your pounding has power,
To release the binds that burden in this darkest hour.
Let this poet’s verse be a testament of strength,
As love’s echo reverberates, healing wounds at length.
