Your Unexplained Departure
Poem by Levi Sap Nei Thang
In the depths of longing, my heart does ache,
For you, my beloved, my soul’s true mate.
Alas! You vanished like a fleeting flame,
Leaving me to drown in shadows untamed.
I sought your presence desperately; I yearned,
But silence echoed, and my hope was spurned.
How could you depart without a farewell?
Leaving me in solitude, my heart in a swell.
Yet, I hold onto faith, a flicker of belief,
That one day, our paths shall gracefully meet.
In distant lands, where destiny may guide,
I’ll recount my sorrows, the rivers I’ve cried.
Until then, sorrow’s tide, I shall brave,
For I know, dear heart, in time we shall save,
The stories untold, the dreams left unsaid,
When I’m before you, arms outspread.
